Dr. Ron Zedek, MD – Psychiatrist & Medical Director
Dr. Ron Zedek is a Nationally Recognized Psychiatrist and is licensed by the State of Nevada. He is the recipient of the Exemplary Psychiatrist of the Year Award. Dr. Zedek has been in private practice in Las Vegas since 1996, serving the needs of children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Zedek has served as the Medical Director for multiple agencies throughout Las Vegas, prior to forming Nevada Behavioral Solutions.
Dr. Zedek received his B.A. in Biology from State University of New York at Binghampton. He attended New York Medical College and completed his Psychiatric Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
He is dedicated to helping people resolve issues, learn coping skills and he strives to empower patients while establishing a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Ron Zedek specializes in treating patients of all ages and remains active and involved in advancing the field of psychiatric treatment.
Daysha Ford – President & CFO
Daysha Ford has spent 13 years working in the mental health. She has worked alongside multiple psychiatrists in Nevada and with Dr. Zedek over 8 years. She has vast experience in psychiatric practice management. Daysha’s desire to assist those in need and to help underserved populations led her to help formulate and establish Nevada Behavioral Solutions with Dr. Zedek. She has played a paramount role in establishing a treatment option for individuals with behavioral health needs throughout Nevada and in rural areas.
Garrett Farnes, MSW – Vice President
Garrett Farnes received his MSW from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a concentration on Direct Practice in 2011. He completed his practicum work under the supervision of Dr. Paul Wulkan at Palo Verde Child & Family Services. During this time he conducted therapy with individuals and families, while also developing a Supervised Visitation program. He received extensive training while working with populations who suffered from anxiety, depression, divorce, past trauma, substance abuse, and other behavioral related challenges. He graduated Cum Laude from UNLV in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, while also minoring in Sociology.
Post graduate school, Garrett first conducted outpatient services with children and adolescents. In 2012 he began working with Dr. Zedek and was appointed Vice President of Nevada Behavioral Solutions shortly thereafter. This position removed him from direct client care to an executive role, while working alongside Daysha Ford and Dr. Zedek. Together, this team has established psychiatric and behavioral health practices throughout the state of Nevada, which has helped provide much needed to services to thousands of individuals.
Nicole Thomte, M.S., MFT – Clinical Supervisor
Nicole Thomte is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Nevada Behavioral Solutions and has worked for the company over three years, working as the Direct Supervisor for one year. She is a 2012 graduate of the MFT Master’s Program at UNLV. She is a co-facilitator for Gender Justice Nevada’s (GJNV) Standing Tall therapy group for primary survivors of sex/ gender based violence, oppression, and discrimination; a co-facilitator for GJNV’s therapy group for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Youth; a co-facilitator for GJNV’s support group for the Parents/ Family/ Friends of Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Youth; and one of the biggest Harry Potter nerds you’ll ever meet.
She has been involved with GJNV’s clinical services since November, 2012. Nicole’s desired purpose is to serve all persons who seek support, especially those individuals, couples, and families who live outside the confines of dominant society’s expectations, through affirmative therapy for LGBTQIA+/ kink/ poly/ etc persons. Her goal is for every person she sits with to have the inclusive support they deserve to improve their lives the way they want.
Gil Carreira – General Manager
Clarisa Perez – Office Manager
Clarisa Perez is a graduate of Cimarron Memorial in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Everest College, and graduated in 2012 as a Medical Assistant. Upon graduation, she began working with Dr. Zedek and Nevada Behavioral Solutions. She first assumed a medical assistant position within the company. Due to her outstanding work ethic and clinical skill set, she quickly transitioned to an administrative role before being appointed a managerial position within Nevada Behavioral Solutions. Clarisa currently oversees one of the company’s rural offices and assists with psychiatric and outpatient care.
